Kelly McAllister, PsyD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has been practicing in Massachusetts for the past few years. I earned my BA degree at Otterbein College (Ohio) in 2006, and MA and PsyD at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy DC in 2014. I have provided psychological services in community mental health clinics, VA hospitals, and in private practice. I am a member of the American Psychological Association.
Psychological evaluation involves an analysis of developmental, cognitive, emotional, and environmental contributions to functioning and performance. The most important part of the evaluation is the personalized recommendations for individuals to achieve their goals. Although I specialize in ADHD assessment, additional services include evaluation of intelligence, personality, emotional abilities, and neuropsychological functioning.
In addition to providing assessment and treatment planning, I am experienced in providing individual therapeutic services where my approach is largely informed by evidence based theories. However, no single method is helpful for everyone so I approach each person with respect to individual needs and goals. I believe that each person is an expert in their own lives, and view my role as collaborative. As a psychologist I share my knowledge of skills and interventions while striving to empower individuals to increase meaningful and positive experiences in their lives by providing compassion, support to promote healing.
